Working In My Studio......

I hope that you enjoy the upcoming weekend everyone.! It seems almost surreal that before we know it the holidays will be here! 

My latest Romantic Dress Form and the last one that I will be doing before the Holiday season

I've been working hard in my studio on various projects and have several pieces of news that I'm just itching to share with you, but can't just yet:-). 


This I will share today and then I need to get back to work, as we have lots of boxes waiting to be unloaded and photographed for the website.

Good morning everyone....the weeks are really flying by lately, right? Just a quick post to thank the adorable and darling Heather (fellow Mason jar fanatic:-) over at Post Road Vintage for asking me for an interview and posting it on her blog last week. Our web shop has been on line since 1999, and this style is much of what we offer. There still seem to be plenty of ladies (gents/husbands mostly) that love this.....thank you for that!

Testing...one, two, three!


The light in our master bedroom is just beautiful at this time of year, pretty much all day long. I thought that I'd share just a few tight shots that I captured before the photo shoot the other day. Test shots if you will....to see if my styling visions worked well once viewed on the computer. 


Test shots are always a good idea.....whether styling for a professional shoot, for your on~line shop or for family shots or portraits......

It's finally back to work for me on my website shop at Shabbyfufu.com this week, and hopefully off to work in my studio soon too.

Lots of pretty romantic porcelain pieces will be added....here is just a petite piece of some of the beautiful vintage coming soon.....

Fifi And Mark.... My Home Shoot

Hello everyone....some of you have asked about the photo shoot at my home with Fifi, so I have just a few photos and thoughts to share with you today. It was an honor to work with my dear friend Fifi once again! She is just a delightful spirit and shared photos and info of what she has in the works with me. You guys will all love what's to come from her in the future I'm sure:-). 
Although I have worked with Fifi before, this was my first time meeting photographer Mark Lohman. He's a seasoned pro and a no nonsense type of guy and to observe was a treat. We have the same camera and lens love...and he was kind enough to share a bit of his knowledge with me. I love this photo of Fifi and myself that he shot.....

A little photography tip is to use a sheer white drape on the window and photograph your object (in this case people) with the light coming in from the side.......

Gotcha! I took a few photos of Fifi and Mark at work....

And just a few photos that I took earlier in the week, as I did much of the styling beforehand to have it ready for the shoot.....

I'm off to relax a bit today up at our beach home before I get back to work on my sorely neglected website next week!
