Today I have a random post of some things that I have been working on and some photos from a couple of blogs that we've been featured on......
Do you remember the French Buffet that I mentioned
![]() |
| Painted and then rubbed with antiquing gel and then lightly distressed with my sander.... |

| I thought that I was finished, but it looked too drab in all of the same color...... |

| I gave the top a darker grey finish and then brush sealed it (top only) with some polycoat for better wear.... |
Another project that is not yet finished is this full length mirror that I found in our side yard (don't ask!) and have desilvered and ghosted to look old. I intend to build a frame around it, if and when I have some time.....
What really seems to keep me busy are custom orders on my various dress forms. I am so grateful to all of my customers, both past and present! I fully intend to get some listed on the website, hopefully soon. This is one of the latest romantic dress forms that is a work in progress and I hope to have her finished shortly. Headed off to Australia soon and more photos later on this too:-).....
It seems that my Mason Jar "Candelier" is all the buzz in bloglandia, Pinterest...etc. I was happy to learn that it was featured today on the hip wedding blog Lovely Little Details, thank you!
I'm thinking that I might offer this one up for sale.......are you interested? You can contact me for details before I list it on the website if so.....
Thank you to sweet Abby of Abby's Paperie Garden for the lovely photos of her Shabbyfufu contest win of the tea set by Farnaz....

I came from Abby's Garden to see your blog. I absolutely love the tea set she displayed her roses in. I love your blog and all the beautiful things you have shown on it. Now I'm on my way to see more. Thanks for sharing such awesome ways to showcase old things.
I love how you painted the top dark gray. That is perfect!
I have that exact same dresser and painted it white and then distressed it. It's in my booth waiting for a new home. Love how yours turned out. Nothing like a good deal!
The mirror is devine and I would have grabbed that up in a heartbeat.
All I can say about the mason jar chandelier is ooohhhhhhhhhhh!

Hi Janet... I just love the beautiful blue canning jars chandelier!... you are so creative to come up with that... no wonder everyone wants to feature it (and own it!)... also love your "ghost mirror"... xoxo Julie Marie
Hi Busy Girl! I have that dresser in my dining room too and love it for my linens, candles and ribbons. Love the gray that you used on the top. I may have to 'copy' you but I'm still looking for the perfect gray. Oh, and ghosting and desilvering? It came out awesome! Fifi will be here on Friday so I am officially in panic mode...xo
I love the Ghosted Mirror, the French Buffet is sweet, but Janet, the Mason Jar Chandelier is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen! So Cool!!! The patina...oh my. I've never seen anything quite like it. Pure & simple, you are the truest form of Breathtaking meets Originality in my book. The perfect mix! xo

Loving the buffet...I have one just like it and it needs a makeover!
Beautiful, beautiful, love, love the cabinet. you make the best things.
LOVE LOVE the mason jar chandy! I'd buy it up in a nano second if I had the $$!
xxoo
Ohhh look at all your pretty things. I especially love the mirror. How did you desilver and ghost it? :)
I made a similar chandlier but used clear jars and covered them in paper. I think I like the blue better, it is beautiful.
how do you 'de'- silver a mirror? looks pretty. wouldlove to do it to an old mirror that looks similar.
Well, I have to leave a comment! You have been busy! I love the Mirror, you really get into re furbishing where I am so hesitant Janet. Your Dressforms are always so Beautiful are you making the form yourself? I have been looking for one for a long time and just plain, undressed they can be a fortune for a decent vintage one. Australia soon? Lucky Girl!!
