Goodbye to our darling 9 1/2 yr old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Murphy, who after a bravely fought battle with advanced mitral valve disease was laid to rest on Saturday. He brought much joy into our lives and I'm too sad for words right now....so will be taking a brief break from blogging.

i am so sorry.
I lost my dog last year to cancer and it was horrible. Im so very sorry for your loss. I believe animals go to heaven, and as my little daughter said about our sweet kami, your dog is probably friends with a giraffe by now.
Janet, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet Murphy ~ you take all the time you need to grieve ~ our beloved pets or more than just, well, pets...they are a most loved member of our families, and when you lose one, you grieve just as much...I know what you are going thru right now, as I lost one of my sweet kitties, Fuzzums, a couple of years ago, and I still miss him very much today. We will all be here when you are ready to come back to blogland :)

my heart aches for you...i know this loss all too well...i lost my sweet Buddy one year ago and it just about did me in...and what helped me was the kind words and heartfelt support from fellow bloggers...even though i bolted my gate and threw myself on the couch....for weeks... contact from bloggers helped me through the worst days of my life....
please know we are all here...you gave your doggy a wonderful life...but it is still the hardest thing i have ever been through...but you will be allright...i didn't think i would ever SMILE again...but i do.

Oh Janet! I am so sorry for your loss. I did loose my Bennie in November and I did find a lot of support in blog land. Few Ladies like Riki and Holly had just lost theirs and we did support each other. I am back with 4 dogs! but it takes a while. Ciao Rita mammabellarte
