My Paris Life....and a Winner

Oh how I have been missing my Paris life since we came back a few short days ago! If you've been coming over here for any length of time then you know that I have been very fortunate to have been to Paris a number of times and lived there for a couple of summers with my French cousins when I was young. I really hated to leave, always do! Paris keeps calling me back for whatever reason, and now with our daughter temporarily living and working there it was the perfect excuse for the rest of us to head over and celebrate her birthday along with her.

I'm going to do a few posts about Paris, and since you probably just want to see photos I'll try and shut up now for a bit.

Our digs....first night was in this gorgeous boutique hotel in the 7th arrondissement, which is close to the Eiffel Tower, the Seine and some fabulous neighborhood shopping.......

Some of the buildings in the area.....

Blue skies around the tower, but not for long as most of the days that we were in Paris it was raining....

Walking, walking, walking....on cobblestones...for many miles....in chic boots. My poor feet were not happy by the time we left for home......

I'm not used to Fall, we don't have that here in So Florida. I took lots of pictures of the color.....

We walked the Left Bank of the Seine and drank in all of the resplendent architecture and the daily life that makes up Paris.....

We slept for so long that first night in the hotel that we completely missed our petit dejeuner the next morning! We were fully rested with no jet lag, and were off to move into our apartment.......

The winner of my Laduree Marie Antoinette Tea giveaway drawn by Tara's Random Number Generator  is # 17, Lululiz. Congrats and email me at shabbyfufu@me.com with all of your information!

I hope that everyone enjoyed the first tour of Paris, I will be back next week with more....as I am headed out of town on Friday for a long weekend (no, NOT to Paris!).......

Please visit my website if you have a chance. I've posted lots of Paris flea market finds and things are going quickly!

Hi Janet,
Love your photos, can't wait to see more of them.

So, the secret to no jet lag is to sleep very long then skip breakfast? I will have to try that, I can never get enough sleep since I don't sleep on the way over (may have mentioned that before... sorry if so ;) I definitely trying your secret though!

Congrats to Lululiz. She is absolutely going to love that beautiful tea.
