Teacup Chandelier Palooza & A Giveaway!

Hello readers and dear friends worldwide! I thought that I would grab a rare free few minutes of time this evening to share some of what I have been working on lately with you. I had a commission from a client to make three custom teacup chandeliers for her grand and beautiful home, and here they are!

She emailed me some photos of her home that is decorated in a style that I would call Victorian shabby chic, and had actually purchased one of my chandeliers several years ago for her previous home.

They are all going to be hung in her kitchen, and here is the first one....temporarily hung in mine, for photos only.....

The second chandelier that I made for her, that will hang right next to the first...so the scale is similar. She loves all things "shabbyfufu" and wanted lots of pearls, pendants and roses.....

This tea cup chandelier is definitely the most grandiose that I have ever made! I have been doing the chocolate pot chandeliers for over a decade now...(sad to see some copycats that were brought to my attention, you know how I feel about that) and on this one it has a touch of that rich chocolate color to bring out the depth of the mahogany in her cabinets. She asked for the hanging cups on this piece, and I still need to add some more French hand dyed silk ribbon that she requested in a pale green. You would not believe the size of this massive light!.....

I hope that you enjoyed seeing a bit of my work. I love custom work and commissions so much, and filling the dreams of my customers, clients and friends. I have some more projects that I am doing for her as I write this and will share with you soon. Don't hesitate to contact me if there is something that I can do for your beautiful home!

Now......did I say GIVEAWAY?

Yes indeed, I want to celebrate my NEW WEBSITE design and am going to give away a $50 Shabbyfufu gift card to one winner, chosen at random! All that you need to do is to leave a comment on the blog to be entered. For an additional chance....post something about the contest on your blog and then come back an let me know. And yet for a third chance post on Twitter and let me know at my Twitter....@shabbyfufu. If you are a customer reading this and don't blog, just leave a comment through the CONTACT on the website and I will include you too!
It's nice to spread the word, so if you would~ I appreciate it so much.........

P.S.....I have removed that annoying "no right click", so if you wish to save the Blog button that Fifi made for me...now you can.

~xoxo~
Janet

Hi Janet,
Wow, you really out did yourself this time. The chandeliers are beautiful, how great they'll look in their new home. It still amazes me that people can't come up with an original/new idea and on top of it most "knock-offs" are of terrible quality and sloppy to boot (not to get off on a rant ;) Love your ORIGINAL work though, always have!

I love on your sidebar you have photos w/Rachel Ashwell & my fav, sweet Fifi ~ you are beautiful!

Okay, throw my name in the giveaway too.
xoxo~Moi

Amazing...simply amazing. I have a friend that has been making something similar for about 10 years or so. I had one in my house in the Historical district. One of the bargaining chips was the chandelier...I left it..sigh..

This one is much grander than any I have seen though. So very beautiful.

Sign me up-You just never know...my luck might change! Diana

Janet - I just hosted an English Tea for my friends at a location other than my house. If I won the $50.00 gift certificate, I would use it to put a down payment on one of your incredibly gorgeous teacup chandeliers for my dining room. At that point I would consider my house grand enough to host my next English Tea here!! It would truly be the icing on the tea cake... ;-)

Hope that Fifi is able to publish pictures of the kitchen that will house your 3 one-of-a-kind custom-made creations!

Hello there. I am new to the whole computer and blogging world. I have never left a comment on anyone's post, but I must say that you have a wonderful talent. I hear of bloggers talking of "copycat". I must tell you my dear there is no such thing. God said, " there is nothing new under the sun". Your ideas are not original but they are done with a talent that only you possess and are uniquely yours. What a eye for beauty you have. I have been around the world and have never seen one as artistically balanced as your work. Not too much, not too little, just enough..God bless you and enjoy your talents. I know I do.
