Affaires Of The Heart ~ Paris Trip

I wish all of you sweet ladies a very happy and blessed Mother's Day! Are you doing something special, perhaps breakfast in bed from the family or an outing to a favorite eatery? I hope so...we all know that mothering is one of the hardest jobs on the planet and you deserve it!

Around here, Mr. Fufu and I will be going up to visit my Mom who lives about an hour away. She wants pizza, and my sister and her husband will be taking care of that, and I am baking a very decadent chocolate layer cake right now that smells heavenly. I hope that I can resist temptation until tomorrow:-).

Today is our 28th wedding anniversary, and as I mentioned in the previous post we will be going on a trip this coming week. Mr Fufu and I often go on quick buying trips together, but most of our trips over the years have included our girls. We are celebrating our 30+ years as a couple and the fact that we somehow managed to finish raising our kids and getting them through college and still are mad for each other! We will be off to celebrate in Paris next week, the most romantic city in the world.

I have been very fortunate to have spent lots of time in Paris, as well as Europe in general during my life so far. I have family on my Mom's side who are French, and spent some summers with them in my youth.....and have been back to Europe a handful of times in my adult life. I have such fond memories of eating fresh baguettes with butter and chocolate for breakfast every morning with my cousin and just taking in the Parisian way of daily life!

My cousin snapped this photo of me shopping at the outdoor produce market (a daily ritual), I think that I was in college at that time. My command of the French language was not bad back then, but I am sorely out of practice now!

I hope to have many more photos for you when I return. I would love to take you all if I could *-*, so hopefully I can give you a virtual tour of what we enjoy when we are there. We will be bringing cameras and a laptop, will be doing lots of walking, SHOPPING, eating and all of the usual....just enjoying our own Affaire of the Heart while having yet another with the city of light ~ Paris!
